CSX Thunders Through Cowan, Tennessee.

Just in time for Christmas. Dixie Rails Production take you on an Adventure to the small country town of Cowan, Tennessee right at the foot of the Cumberland Plateau. Traffic was at a normal pace on the CSX Chattanooga Sub Former (N.C.&.St.L) main between Nashville, and Chattanooga,Tennessee, and which much to our surprise the Heavy Christmas traffic was going underway right at dusk. We watch some of CSX's freight trains, some which was at 8,000 foot in length get push over the short but steep 2% grade of the Cumberland Plateau with a pair of CW44AC's helpers. We also get a front row view of the famous narrow Cowan tunnel right at the top of the Plateau. From the morning hours to almost late evening in December CSX put on a show for us, so sit back, and enjoy. CSX Thunder Through Cowan, Tennessee.
