We are home to over 600 animals, many of whom have been rescued from: Illegal pet trade Animal testing laboratories Abuse, neglect, or abandonment 🐾 Who Lives at the Rescue Zoo? We care for a wide variety of animals, including: Big cats like lynxes and caracals Lemurs, gibbons, and marmosets Foxes, raccoons, porcupines, and goats Camels, llamas, horses, and donkeys Chameleons, iguanas, and snakes Servals, vervet monkeys, and many more! 🦁 Featured Rescue Stories Kato, the Desert Lynx Kato is a beautiful caracal rescued from a private home in France. He had been kept illegally in an apartment, and now lives safely with us. The Last Fur-Farm Foxes in Denmark We took part in a national rescue of the final foxes from Danish fur farms. These animals now enjoy freedom and care here in our sanctuary. 🌱 Our Mission At Odsherred Zoo Rescue, we don’t just rescue exotic animals. Even small animals like guinea pigs or parrots—often misunderstood or neglected—end up here when their owners realize how much care they require.
