Today was one hell of a Texas Hill Country ride — starting in Bandera, cruising up to the Bent Rim Grill in Leakey, then rolling back through historic Utopia where Robert Duvall’s movie Seven Days in Utopia was filmed, and back into Bandera for some classic cowboy culture vibes. We stopped in at Arkey Blue’s Silver Dollar, one of the most legendary honky-tonks in Texas. This place has been rocking since the 1920s (originally The Fox Hole), became The Silver Dollar in the 1940s, and has hosted big names and local music for decades — a true slice of Bandera history. Then we hit up 11th Street Cowboy Bar — known as the Biggest Little Bar in Texas. This iconic spot draws visitors from all over the world for country western and swing music, dance nights, BBQ steak nights, and that unforgettable Texas bar atmosphere. These places are usually PACKED — especially on weekends — but today they were wide open and slow, giving a rare look before the crowds hit. From scenic backroads to historic saloons and cowboy bars, this is what riding in the Hill Country is all about.
