Highley is a Shropshire village with a population of less than 4,000. The pool is hidden away behind a very ordinary looking leisure centre. You'd have no idea it was there unless you knew. It's a nice drive through the countryside and there's a large free car park. Booking ahead is essential as numbers are limited, which is great because it means it doesn't get crowded. I managed to get the last two places on a late Friday afternoon and it was a perfect way to end a busy week. Run by Halo Leisure, you simply give your name at the reception desk and head into the changing rooms then make your way poolside. It's a lovely setting, a bright blue 25 by 10 metre pool surrounded by a white picket fence and white benches for spectators.
