Manchester Art Gallery BSL tour guide recruitment information Manchester Art Gallery deliver a regular programme of tours in British Sign Language. The Gallery have funding to recruit and train a new freelance tour guide to take over from Jennifer Little after her retirement later this year. The Gallery are looking for someone who is fluent BSL speaker and uses it as their language of first choice. Manchester Art Gallery will train and develop your skills to become a new freelance tour guide. You will be paid from the start of training! By the end of the training period you will have had experience of tour guiding and the support to become a freelancer tour guide. To apply you must: Live in the North West Be comfortable talking with a diverse group of people in British Sign Language. Have an enthusiasm and interest in art and learning about art. Be available for 1 training or development session a month at Manchester Art Gallery between May 2025- March 2026. Being Deaf, although not essential, is desirable. How to apply: If you are interested, send us a short film introducing yourself. The film needs to be a maximum of 5 minutes long. Film on your phone. Low resolution is fine.
