2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 Calligraphy Design POV night drive, highway drive, launch control, 0-60 acceleration, exhaust sound, review. The IONIQ 9 is the biggest electric SUV Hyundai has ever released and its mission is to take on SUVs like a Rivian R1S, Tesla Model X, or a Volvo EX90. It sits Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, which is their fully electric, 800-volt architecture used by the entire Kia and Hyundai lineup, and the Genesis GV60. It features a strut front suspension and a multilink setup in the back, combined with conventional, non-adaptive dampers. All models are equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery pack and we can split the powertrain into 3 buckets: 215 hp RWD in the S trim, offering 335 miles of range, starting at $59,000 303 hp AWD for SE and SEL with 320 miles of range. SE starts at 62 grand, SEL, at 66. 422 hp AWD in the Limited and Calligraphy, which respectively start at $71,000 and $75,000. Those have around 311 miles of range The IONIQ9 is Hyundai’s first model to feature NACS charging port, also known as Tesla’s charging port which means you can use Tesla’s superchargers without any adapters. One thing to know about Tesla’s superchargers though, is they’re not as fast as some of CCS DC fast chargers, meaning getting this thing from 10% to 80% takes about 40 minutes. But, now worries, you can still use fast charing stations with a CCS adapter and decrease the charge time from 10 to 80% to about 24 minutes. Obviously, the most convenient and inexpensive way to charge an EV is at home, using and AC Level 2 wall box. If you take that approach, getting from 0 to a 100 should take around 10 hours. Other SUVs to consider are a Kia EV9, Tesla Model X, Rivian R1S, Hyundai Palisade, Hyundai Santa Fe. 00:00 - Exterior 00:30 - Interior (Front Seats) 03:05 - Interior (Backseat) 04:57 - Trunk 05:24 - Exterior 06:10 - Frunk 06:50 - Driving 10:23 - Acceleration 10:33 - Highway 11:50 - Ambient Lighting 13:20 - Highway 17:03 - Acceleration 17:13 - Driving Specs: Powertrain: 2 electric motors | 422 hp | 516 lb-ft of torque | AWD Battery: 110.3 kWh Lithium Ion Battery | 311 miles of range Color: Gravity Gold Matte Price as tested: $79,540 #hyundai #ioniq9 #hyundaiioniq9 #pov #review #ev #cars Follow me on Instagram and TikTok @tom.swiatek
