Tek On Me is the first WAD I ever published in which all maps are my own, so it's exciting for me to showcase it. This demo was submitted by Revved to the DSDA Archive, and as of now it is the only demo there is for Tek On Me, which makes it all the more special. It was actually this boy band named A1 that covered that song, and I had seen the video for that on TV when I was 5 or 6. I don't know why I thought that was relevant, the name just kinda reminded me of that anecdote. Anyway, fun Boom WAD! I gotta say, I'm really proud of my performance here. I feel like I kinda phoned in a couple of my more recent demos, but here, I was firing on all cylinders. It helps when you have a really fun WAD to work with. The layouts feel intuitive, it's easy to navigate, it's one that really works IMO. Despite devolving into slaughter territory near the end, I felt like I could handle it easily. There were obviously some tense moments, but I'm overall satisfied. The only painful death I took was on E1M7, during the fight for the blue key. I ended up getting stuck in a closet near one of the corners in the acid pit as it was rising, and took a death there. :(
