From Local Prices to the Global Economy: How Data Help Us Understand Our World Today

The International Comparison Program (ICP) is one of the largest statistical initiatives undertaken at regular intervals across the world, with nearly 200 economies taking part in the ICP’s most recent cycle in 2017. This video provides an overview of the program, its main outputs, and the use of its data across a wide spectrum of socioeconomic analyses including many of the Sustainable Development Goals. It was first presented at the United Nations World Data Forum 2021.
