One of the easiest ways to grow mushrooms in your garden is by burying fruiting blocks. You can expect mushrooms in 1-2 weeks (weather permitting), with surprise flushes for months or even years. This technique works with fresh blocks as well as “spent” grow kits or fruiting blocks. Use blocks as compost boosters, mulch, or break them up into soil to improve moisture retention and reduce erosion. Returning mycelium to the earth nourishes your garden soil. Your plants will thank you later!
