[original watercolour artwork, copyright reserved. ] --------- Intro --------- Today's technique is all about creating a fluffy wet-on-wet effect. I designed it for beginners because we don’t need to obsess over the strokes. (I don’t think beginners 'lack skill' 🥰; I actually believe it’s because rigidly painting shapes with strokes isn’t the most enjoyable part of learning, haha ) Anyway, the paint disperses naturally, forming the flower head and merging two colors on its own. 🥰🥰 The idea of dampening one flower area at a time allows us to paint in a calm and relaxed way. I came up with this approach because I know how tricky wet-on-wet can be, especially with water control. Dampening the whole page at once can sometimes cause us to lose control over the even distribution of water. --------- Art Supplies --------- [Paints] Mijello Pure Pigment Set W523 Permanent Yellow Deep W512 Quinacridone Permanent Rose White ink From Kuratake (add some final touches) [Brushes] Davinci # 1 428 Davinci #00 V35 (liner brush for the mini flowers and stems in the end) Black Velvet #6 300s Holbein Black Resable SQ 6 (wasn't intended, but appeared in the video) *You can use any round brushes; this painting doesn't rely much on the stroke shape. Preferably, use animal bristle brushes, as they hold more liquid. [Paper] {Any brand} Cold pressed/300gsm/100%cotton 👍 THUMBS UP & COMMENT If you like my video, please give it a thumbs up.
