Evia Island (3684kmp) is the second largest island in Greece, after Crete. Chiliadou is the most beautiful beach on the island of Evia. Chiliadou is located a few km from the village of Stropones - 500 inhabitants. The road: we came from Kamena Vourla, crossed the High Bridge Evripos from Chalkis, climbed to more than 1000m altitude and descended to sea level in Stropones. The beach is one with pebbles and dark sand, the water is fantastically beautiful, clear and blue. The beach is always wide, there are waves. The landscape is special, mountainous and green. There are several accommodations on Chiliadou beach, even a small hotel with a swimming pool, a tavern, maybe two and a cafe, near the nudist beach ... yes, there is a section for nudists, far to the left, after the rocks. The beach is always free, because it is difficult to access and the locals are extremely few. On the right side of the beach there are other rocks that shelter a small cave. Further to the right after the mountain we will find the beautiful beaches Thapsa and Metochiou, which can be reached only on rugged forest roads.
