In January 2017, a Task Force comprising of U.S. Navy SEALs from SEAL Team 6, reinforced by a team of Emirati Commandos, was inserted onto a Landing Zone in Western Yemen. After touching down, this Force moved off on foot to cover the 8km to their objective, which was a compound in the small village of Al-Ghayil. Almost immediately, however, the mission began to unravel.
