The journey of making the most accessible sauna in the world. From an idea to a sauna revolution - What started as a simple thought has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. Thank you for being part of this journey - bast wouldn’t exist without you! We are three childhood friends who grew up together in Luleå, a city surrounded by a thousand islands, crisp winter air, and a deeply rooted sauna culture. From an early age, the sauna was a natural part of our lives—after football practice, at family gatherings, or simply as a place to relax. We took it for granted. But life took us to Stockholm, and everything changed. Public saunas were overcrowded, electricity prices skyrocketed, and the warmth we once shared suddenly became a rare luxury. We missed it—not just the heat, but the sense of community. That’s when we started searching for a solution. Traditional saunas were expensive, required building permits, and demanded space we didn’t have. Then Seb found the answer—a SAUNA TENT. The first one we tried was far from perfect, but the feeling was right. That was the moment bast was born. We wanted to create a sauna that everyone could enjoy—without the need for land, permits, knowledge, or a big budget. The journey was anything but easy. We made countless mistakes, from failed prototypes to turning Viggo’s basement into a makeshift warehouse. But with the support of friends, family, and most importantly, you—our customers who believed in us—we kept improving. Today, bast is more than just a product—it’s a community.
