Keighley & Worth Valley Railway - Spring Steam Gala 2019

With one of the first major events of the season, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway set to put on another great show with their Spring Steam Gala. There was no set theme for the gala this year, but the event would be notable for being the first gala appearance for over 20 years of recently returned to traffic LMS Jubilee No 45596 'Bahamas'. It would also be the first gala appearance for nearly two decades of also recently returned to traffic of BR Std 2MT No 78022. In addition to 'Bahamas', the other guest loco was LMS 2MT No 46521 from the Great Central Railway. It had been planned for LNER B12 No 8572 to attend, though this fell through due to unforeseen circumstances. The weather over the weekend pretty much saw it all, with sun, wind, rain, hail, and even snow, making it difficult to know what was coming next!
