#passover #toys #review What is Passover? Story and Passover Windup Toys | Pharaoh | Locusts | Frogs | Wild Beast The Jewish holiday of Passover began on Saturday night and continues through the rest of this week. I’d like to wish everyone who celebrates a Happy Passover. I’m going to recount the story of Passover through my wind-up toys! The Passover story is from the Biblical book of Exodus, which recounts the ancient Hebrews’ enslavement in Egypt and how they were freed. Wind-up toy representing Pharoah. The story of Passover begins when Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt, is worried that the Jews living in Egypt would outnumber his own people. He forced the Jews into slavery. Moses is told by God to command Pharaoh to set the Jewish people free, and God sets out to convince him by way of the Ten Plagues. The plagues are: Blood, Frogs, Lice, Wild Beasts, Pestilence, Boils, Hail, Locusts , Darkness and the Deat of the First Born. Winky Frog Z Windup from California Creations. The Jew mark their doors with the blood of a lamb they’ve sacrifices and so God “passes over” their homes. Families celebrate their freedom by having a meal called a seder, which recounts the Passover story. Matzoh is eaten during the week of Passover, representing the fact that the Israelites had to leave Egypt in such a hurry that they didn’t have time for the breads to rise. During the 7 days of Passover, observant jews don’t eat any leavend bread product. One of the most celebrated foods at the Passover meal is Matzoh ball soup. Squishy walking matzoh ball wind-up toy.
