Well this was new - No.7 Road as the opening song - rearranged to start with the chorus. That's what the Beatles have done before too (on the advice of George Martin in Can't Buy Me Love) - start with the hook!!! Rocking intro by the boys, aka The Castfellows. The instrumental intro has been reworked a bit with a stadium anthem feel - a few crash cymbals instead of the quiet groove on the EP recording and other live performances. Nice!!! Of course this is still a catchy, big hit so it's fun to start off a show with a bang .. a banger :) But some things you don't mess with like the verse 2 line dance. In the earliest shows I saw only Lily and Ellie did that dance. Then Powell got in on the fun and joined in. And eventually The Castfellows joined in too on later shows .. oh except Brad - you can't drum and dance !!! We should start a Kickstarter campaign to raise some funds to fix that barbed wire fence back home right? :) It's been needing work for a couple years now based on these lyrics! By opening with this the ladies don't get to do the usual intro to this song they did before. Powell usually handled that saying this was their first released song because it was about them and their home. Now you know :) This was my shortest trip to see ‪@thecastellows‬ show. Fly in the day of the show and out the next morning. A real jet setter. I love the heat and will have to come back for a longer vacation. Antone's Nightclub was such a cozy venue. Great sound and lighting. I would fly back for a show there in an instant. It had the same feel as my first show at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. Enjoy! PS - This was my sweet sixteenth show!!! September 13th, 2025. PPS - Both Lily and Ellie wore green dresses at this show. Lily a long, light green satin dress and Ellie a short, dark green velour dress with cool drapey wings on the sleeves. I can't see a green dress without thinking of Canadian band BNL and their song If I Had A Million Dollars :) Check that out for a giggle - not too many songs mention a green dress.
