Host Kleber Battaglia, a lifelong martial artist, travels to Foshan, birthplace of many southern kung fu styles, to trace Wing Chun back to its roots. Guided by Master Guo Weizhan, a fifth-generation Foshan Wing Chun inheritor whose father studied with Ip Man, he explores how Ip Man used mechanics, triangles, and 45-degree angles to refine the art. In an old factory, he examines a 400-year-old wooden dummy and custom dummy designs for different fighters. In a water town, Kleber discovers how canals, narrow alleys, and dragon boats led to Wing Chun’s specialization in fighting in small spaces. He then visits Master Xian Zhiming to experience Snake Style (Yui Choi) Wing Chun, with soft dummies and joint-powered strikes, seeing how traditional forms and modern combat thinking meet in Foshan. • Timestamps 00:00 – Intro & arriving in Foshan 02:43 – Master Guo, Ip Man Memorial Hall & Wing Chun moves 06:38 – Wing Chun triangles, 45-degree angles and dummy training 09:20 – Wooden dummy factory & 400-year-old dummy 11:02 – Wing Chun’s Six-and-a-Half Point Pole history and techniques 12:58 – Dim sum with Wing Chun Master Guo 15:07 – Die Jiao water town & meeting Snake Style Wing Chun Master Xiao 16:48 – Snake Style Wing Chun: dummy training & sticking to your prey 20:33 – Wing Chun in narrow alleys, dragon boating and boat fights 23:45 – Snake Style Wing Chun flexibility and joint training New episodes every week.
