Beyond Busking Audition by Morne Holland

The Beyond Busking Project held auditions to select candidates for their development program on 15 June 2022. The candidates will undergo an extensive skills development program including vocal training, stage presence and life coaching, musical arrangement, and studio song production. The program is supported by Ariva Arts Foundation, Rootspring NPC, DCAS, and The Castle of Good Hope. Morne is a singer-songwriter, who is an accomplished guitar player and pianist. He was born and raised in Elsie’s River, Cape Town. He began performing music at the age of 18 and developed his musicality from playing in many bands in and around the City as well as in Europe (Turkey and Greece). He has worked with some of the big names in the music industry like Alistair Isobel, PJ Powers, and Lukmaan Adams. He can be seen busking at Cape Town Waterfront, Kalkbay, Stellenbosch, and Simonstown. He enjoys jazz music.
