Jesus had a calm demeanour but knew very well what was about to happen and all that He would have to endure. The disciples didn’t know yet. The supper He would have that night with His disciples, who He considered His dear friends and close family, was going to be the last one during His time on earth. It was a farewell supper. And Jesus broke the news that, one of the disciples at the table was about to betray Him. There would have been so many mixed emotions at the table. Anguish, confusion, sorrow and fear of the unknown but also endearing memories together just as there would be in any farewell. The words and music beautifully capture that mood, and take you through the journey that Jesus and the disciples would have gone through that night.
