In the original Pathologic, on my first playthrough, there were, I think, only a few characters whom I felt I could trust. The Bachelor was, after all, a man cornered and set upon on what felt like all sides. Eva was one. Georgiy was another; as was Rubin, and Maria, and Victor. I think Yulia was the first one to actually earn my trust though. She speaks in such a logical way, but with a healthy respect for local customs. Yulia is also owner of the Trammel, a place where I found myself at home quite quickly: any place with books surely can't be all that bad. Yulia is an erudite young woman capable of quick thinking, but she is fearful that her time in the town has left her mental faculties in a state of constant decay. Even if in the end she didn't become truly integral to the Bachelor's campaign, I think I always paid her a visit, primarily because of what she had to say on those early days: convincing, and at times, quite human. Relatively isolated from anyone and everyone - no-one visits the town's library, do they?
