The NO HOPE mod for Dead Space (2008) created by ‪@TomPillberg‬ changes the Impossible difficulty to its entirety by handcapping the player on almost all elements (damage input, stasis duration...) as well as making all the enemies more harder to dispose of (you'll need to dismember them almost completely). Modder's description of the mod: NO HOPE aims to provide a more hardcore and immersive Dead Space playthrough than what is offered by the vanilla Impossible mode. Enemies have to be nearly torn apart to be stopped. Enemies deal more damage, stasis duration and charge have been decreased, ammo stack limits and magazine capacity has been reduced, and much more... Nightmare pushes Issac to his absolute limits. You should first beat Standard No Hope before attempting Nightmare. *CHANGES FROM STANDARD NO HOPE* 1. Weapon damage reduction. [Nightmare Exclusive] 2. Further Decrease of Player Hit Points. 3. Further Oxygen reduction. 4. Further Magazine capacity Reduction. 5. Further Stasis reduction. (Stasis upgrades now REQUIRED to complete game) 6. Further Enemy Aggression. 7. Tentacle Speed Increase. Be sure to read the README.txt file, especially the info thats at the top. 2. The Cheat Engine 7.5 might give a false positive alert for Windows 11 users... there is a plan to make the mod not dependable of Cheat Engine... 3.
