While it started out, when I bought it, as a family hauler, I've now owned it for about 8 years and a few years ago it was promoted to my dedicated adventure rig. This Suburban K1500, which means it's 4 wheel drive, also has GM's 5.7L throttle body injected V8. This is the last year before the Vortec 5.7 which itself lasted from 1996 to about 2000. GM then moved to the fantastic 5.3L fuel injected V8 which, although has some changes, is still made and used here and now in 2022. I thought I'd make a quick documentary style video on my normal daily usage of this truck. It obviously is capable of much more but I wanted to show a typical day of ownership. With the unfortunate drastic rise in new car prices the used car market has started to balloon as well. If you've ever wanted to get into a GMT400 it seems as though the prices are going to continue to climb. I'm constantly searching the local markets for more good used options and there are still some out there fortunately. But, they do seem to be harder and harder to find.
