Tau Malolo ha Niue - In-house Solo Competition (NLW 2023)

Our In-house solo competition was introduced to help uplift our Niue culture through the upskilling of performance highlighting key elements of our culture such as; Introduction in Vagahau Niue, Koli - traditional & modern (sitting & standing), Hopo & Kalaga. This is our second year holding this event. Each performer chooses from a selection of 4 songs with choreographed actions (optional to change) to perform, dressed in their choice of Niue cultural costume. The aim is to give confidence to our performers so they are comfortable to speak at future celebrations and perform as a soloist knowing they have the strength and skill to perform their very best.
