I was pleased to welcome the super impressive Pascal Lottaz from the popular Neutrality Studies podcast. We had a really deep dive into the creeping authoritarianism of states, in the US, Britian and the EU, where unelected officials are sidestepping the courts to improse ever more draconian sanctions on anyone who disagrees with them. This should be a GO-TO watch for anyone who wants an insiders account of how the sanctioning system works, and its subtler manifestations, through social media tech giants and mainstream media companies. We joked at the start that our recording was foreshortened because , just as we logged on, I suffered a rare power cut in my house. I believe that was just an unfortunate coincidence, like Pascal's YouTube channel being taken down for 16 days. But in these days of the state regulating what you can, and cannot, say, it is sometimes hard to know what to think.
