Paneer butter masala is the most popular paneer (cottage cheese) side dish in India and a known favorite of every food lover. This spicy and creamy gravy can be made easily at home like prepared in restaurants. Paneer butter masala is the best choice of side dish for any Indian breads like chapati, naan, roti etc. Paneer butter masala Ingredients A packet of Paneer 2 Onions 2 Tomatoes Half Bay leaf A piece of Cinnamon 1 Cardamom 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1 tsp Red Chilli powder 1/2 tsp Cumin powder 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder A pinch of food color 1 tsp Salt Few Coriander leaves 1/4 cup butter Little Oil How to make paneer butter masala Cut onion and tomato into chunks. Heat oil in a pan, saute onion and tomato separately. Let it cool and then grind onion and tomato separately. Cut paneer into cubes. Melt butter in a pan; add cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf and cardamom. Let it splutter. Add onion paste and saute. In the meanwhile, heat oil in another pan, toast paneer cubes in low heat. Remove and keep aside. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté until raw smell leaves. Add tomato paste and saute. Add all masala powders and sauté. Add required water and bring to boil. Add toasted paneer cubes and stir. Cook for few minutes. Add coriander leaves and remove from heat. Paneer butter masala is ready.
