Dev Fund 2.0 / The Future of Zcash Ecosystem Funding - ZconV: Zcash Unified 2024

With the end of the current Dev Fund due in November 2024, the community has been discussing whether it should be replaced with a new Dev Fund and what it should look like. This panel brings together the leaders of ECC and the Zcash Foundation, together with two community members, Noamchom and GGuy (who is also a member of the Zcash Community Grants committee), who have put forward proposals for a new Dev Fund. The panel participants will have an opportunity to share their views on the future of funding in the Zcash ecosystem and to answer questions from the community. The panel will be chaired by Peter van Valkenburgh, director of research at Coin Center, and Zcash Foundation board member. He is a graduate of NYU Law, as well as a self-taught web developer. He drafts the Center’s public regulatory comments, and helps shape its research agenda. He has testified before Congress, briefed staff and members of the EU parliament, and educated policymakers and regulatory staff around the world on the subject of cryptocurrency regulation and decentralized computing systems. Josh has received numerous global and national awards for leadership, marketing and solution delivery.
