It does, however, have a blade stop system, allowing you to stop the blades without shutting off the motor. The handle also has multiple height adjustments, making it fit better for people of all shapes and sizes. There's are only two levers to adjust height of cut vs. 4 with other mowers. One for the front, and one for the back wheels. The timemaster 30 inch mower has three different ways to dispose of your clippings. You can side discharge, bag, or mulch. I recommend mulching.
