[2018 KNCDC PERFORMANCE CLIPS] "Immixture" Highlight Clip

2018.5.18-19 Theater Dream, Gangdong Art Center Immixture intents to exhibit Korean music and the beauty of Korea on the stage for international audience. The beats of Korean traditional music tend to resonate far, and the rhythms are full of suggestion. On the other hand, Western music has short and clear beats with an emphasis on melody. Korean traditional dance shows the beauty of curves and breathing in movement, whereas Western dance tends to be extroverted, straightforward and expressive. Composed of 10 scenes, Immixture creates a 'visible music' by combining music and movements from the East and the West. It is a mixture of different music and different dance- delicate and flowing Korean traditional dance, and modern contemporary movements. Immixture continued to develop and enhance itself since its first showcase at SIDance 2014, and was premiered at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, France in 2016.
