This week’s special episode of the Question/Answer Vlog is presented by Azma Zahid Bokhari, Minister for Information and Culture, Government of Punjab. 🎙️ Acknowledgment of Public Participation First of all, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the people of Punjab for their overwhelming response. During the past week, over 30,000 messages were received through our official WhatsApp Number . Our dedicated team reviewed every single message carefully — listening, documenting, and forwarding them to the relevant departments for action. This level of public engagement demonstrates a strong trust between the government and its people, and we are committed to strengthening this relationship further. ⸻ Digital Integration for Efficient Response In light of the large volume of feedback, the Department of Information & Culture, in coordination with the Chief Minister’s Office, is developing a centralized digital platform. This system will integrate the Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell and connect all major provincial departments — including Health, Education, Local Government, Revenue, and Social Welfare — to ensure that citizen queries and complaints are automatically routed to the right authorities for timely redressal and monitoring. ⸻ Employment and Recruitment Queries A significant portion of messages received were related to government jobs. The Government of Punjab would like to reiterate that all public sector recruitments are conducted strictly on merit and through public advertisement. Several recruitment drives are currently in process — including the PERA Force , the Anti-Narcotics Force, and multiple district-level safety and service units. Citizens are encouraged to regularly check the official portals for verified advertisements and apply according to their qualifications. ⸻ Housing & Welfare Initiatives Under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” flagship program of the Chief Minister of Punjab, over 100,000 housing units are in the final stages of completion. Due to the scale of the project, processing times may vary, but transparency and fairness remain our top priorities. All pending or delayed applications are being reviewed, and relevant applicants will be notified in due course. ⸻ Public Complaints from Faisalabad Division Multiple public complaints from Faisalabad have been received, particularly concerning private housing societies, issues of transformer installations, delayed possessions, and refund frauds. All such matters have been officially referred to the Commissioner Faisalabad’s Office for necessary investigation and corrective measures. Cases involving financial fraud or deceit have been further escalated to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for legal proceedings. ⸻ Land Grabbing and Property Disputes Complaints related to land encroachments, unlawful possession, and threats by land mafias have been forwarded to the (CCD) for strict action. The Government of Punjab maintains a zero-tolerance policy against any form of land grabbing or intimidation. ⸻ Education, Health & Social Welfare Updates • The School Education Department has been advised to expedite the verification and recruitment processes raised by several applicants. • The Health Department has been directed to review all medical assistance cases reported for children and critical patients. • The Social Welfare Department is reviewing requests received from special citizens, widows, and low-income families. ⸻ Public Transport and Urban Concerns Several complaints were received regarding electric buses not stopping at university locations. The Provincial Transport Department has been instructed to ensure that all public transport, especially electric buses, make mandatory stops near educational institutions during peak hours. In addition, sanitation and dengue prevention activities are being intensified under the supervision of the Local Government & Community Development Department. ⸻ Other Initiatives and Actions • Reports of online frauds and fake surveys have been formally shared with the FIA. • Cases of non-payment of salaries in specific rescue and service departments are being addressed. • The Sports Department has been notified regarding pending land allotment cases in DG Khan. ⸻ Closing Remarks The Government of Punjab is fully committed to transparency, accountability, and service delivery.
