This program is part of the APMC-SN Socio-Civic Committee’s Kapit-Bisig: Strengthened Community Partnerships Initiative, which targets 2 of its goals: to empower the masses through health education, and to deliver relevant health lectures using different Philippine dialects. In our fourth episode, we will learn about Common Childhood illnesses. Did you know that as per WHO, around 5.2 million children under 5 years old died in 2019 from preventable and treatable illnesses such as pneumonia and diarrhea? Though these conditions occur in all ages, they have more serious consequences on children if not addressed immediately. Thus, paying attention to the children's health is one of the ways we can prevent further complications. A simple symptom like cough should not be overlooked. In this video, we will learn about the top 5 common childhood illnesses, their causes, signs and symptoms, and how we can manage and prevent them.
