Thanks to the fine staff at Keystone Lanes in Norwalk, CA for hosting the event and providing excellent service as always. This is the Junior Bowlers Tour Women's Series Championship match on Kegel's 37' Broadway pattern (on the burn). In every tournament the two girls with the highest scratch scores during qualifying face each other in a one game match once they are both eliminated from the regular mixed gender tournament. The girls earn points toward entry into the season end Conference Invitationals and the all girls TPC. Girls that win three Women's Series events automatically qualify for the season end girls TPC. This was Ashley's third win in the four tournaments bowled this season, which made her the first from any conference to officially qualify for the year end TPC. Ashley is the Junior Bowlers Tour Southwest TPC defending champion from the 2013-14 season. Here you see Ashley Dunn facing Sarah Schneider. Sarah is a member of the California State-Long Beach Club Bowling Team, and is the only girl on a men's team. Sarah's game continues to improve...... Coaches - anyone looking for a diamond in the rough? I know there are plenty of Colleges out there that could use a young lady with her potential!??! Ashley had went +83 during qualifying and Sarah +9. This 37' pattern had played outside earlier, but Cortez Schenck had thrown plastic up the channel all day and had played every pair at least once. Other boys had got wise and moved out with urethane after watching him destroy the rack with his high revs. Good for the boys, but pretty much took the far outside out of play for the girls... Good move by Cortez as he owned the tournament from start to finish... Ashley is a High School Senior this year with a lengthy resume of Local, Regional, National, and International accomplishments.
