Hi friends, I moved out of Gaby's this week, hoping for a smooth transition into a houses-share with an Indian family. What I encountered, however, was a deceptive and hostile living situation that quickly became a nightmare. The duvet provided was in an unacceptable condition. More critically, the shared living spaces were non-existent for me: I was given no space whatsoever in the kitchen cupboard or the fridge. The most significant deception was their deliberate concealment of the landlady's psychological illness, which crucially impact the living environment and my peace of mind. When the situation became untenable and I decided to move out, the entire family ganged up to pressure and deceive me. They insisted I pay an agency fee, claiming they had paid it themselves. However, I later confirmed directly with the agency that they had not paid any such fee. Their coordinated deception around the money was the final betrayal in what had been an all-around atrocious experience. The whole ordeal was a complete nightmare.
