When we sailed Cheeky Monkey to Fakarava from Hiva Oa, we weren't sure what we would find on this remote island, but we spent a long time exploring and getting to know the place, which is what we aim to show you in this video. Like everywhere we sail to, it's the people that make the experiences we have, and Fakarava is no exception. We like to move fast, but it helps to sit still for a while and get to know the fabric of an island and get to know the kinds of locals who can help you in a pinch when your dinghy engine stops working!
