Zakuzaku Actors is an excellent freeware RPG that I played once a while back and wanted to revisit this year, so I proposed a draft to a few acquaintances: pick 12 of the 36 characters each with free use of the protagonists, deuteragonists, and super late joiners, and that's your team for the whole game. (Free units are Delichi and Rosemary, as well as Hell and Mia Rerju after Part 2 when they become the protagonists. My drafted characters are Gina, Yae, Yukino, Fuku, Zenyatta, Julia, Dorintl, Kuweuri, Priscilla, Rufure, Mao and Reptos.) Its actual mechanics are intuitive, so I'll generally let them speak for themselves. The ice cream truck takes two turns of prep to do anything at all. You can't do anything against 120mm Phoenix's confusion besides bring Kuweuri, although it won't last long enough to go into the next attack, but you can do something about Icicle SAM's instant KO and ADATS Thunderblade's stun. The actual damage isn't so lethal with the many options for defending yourself beyond the guard command you've got by now.
