Dr. Mary-Wynne Ashford was a leading Canadian physician-activist with the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), dedicating her life to educating the public and policymakers about the catastrophic medical and humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons and advocating for their complete abolition.
