PADLOCK CLIP™ Defect Closure System - Mounting and Deployment

Learn about mounting and deployment of the PADLOCK CLIP Defect Closure System. This video is intended for instructional purposes only and is not intended to replace the IFU. Please refer to the IFU for complete instructions. Steps for this system include: 1. Lay the endoscope flat on the surface and place the Padlock Clip defect closure system housing next to the distal end of the scope. 2. Identify the full retroflection direction of the endoscope. Position the curve as shown in the video. 3. Position cable along the OUTSIDE of the retroflection curve. 4. Gently slide the endoscope into the housing until it stops. DO NOT push or twist the scope into the housing beyond a gentle stop. 5. Grasp the black O-ring and stretch the wrap across the opening. Secure it on the open hook. 6. Grasp the safety cap. Twist and pull to remove. 7. Apply lubricant liberally to the outside of the clip housing. 8. Allow the cable to advance loosely without tension as the endoscope is inserted. a. CORRECT: Cable being held without tension. b. INCORRECT: Cable being held TOO tense and tight. 9. The Padlock Clip defect closure system is deployed by a FIRM RAPID thumb push on the handle.
