Oma’s Banana Bread For 1 Loaf: -1 3/4 C Flour -1/2 C Sugar -1/3 C Crisco -1 tsp Baking Powder -1/2 tsp Baking Soda -1/2 tsp Salt -2 Overripe Bananas -2 Eggs Mix and pour into greased bread loaf pan, or divide into 12 muffin cups. Bake 375 F for 40-45 minutes (15-20 min for muffins) ********************* Chicken Pot Pie Recipe from Jamie Woodall Ingredients: 16T Butter 20T Flour 12-15 Cups Milk (About 3/4 gallon) 1 Jar Better Than Bouillon Roasted Chicken Base 2 Rotisserie Chickens Onion Powder Garlic Powder Basil Cracked Black Pepper Parsley 2 Cans of Green Beans 2 Cans of Corn 2 Cans of Carrots 4 Stalks of Celery (cut into small pieces) 6-8 Boxes of Pie Crusts Directions: 1. Melt butter down, once melted add flour and whisk. Cook flour mixture (rue) down for 2mins. 2. Add 12 Cups of the milk, bring to a boil while constantly stirring. *You can add more milk depending on how thick you want your filling. 3. Add Better than Bouillon Chicken base and stir until smooth. 4. Add seasons to taste you can add or take away any seasons 5. Turn off heat, add veggies and chicken. Mix well 6. Prep pie crust in pie pans and fill with chicken pot pie filling (Do not overfill-it should be level or lower than the edge of pie pan) 7. Cover pies with top crust and roll together the bottom and top crusts. Pinch edges together to lock in filling. Score top to make air vents 8. Cover edges of pie with foil to prevent burning 9. Cook at 400 degrees F for 1-2 hours until crust is golden brown 10. Let stand 10mins once out of oven. Makes around 6 pies, which is the perfect amount for dinner and leftovers-for-lunch the next day for our family of 13. Bon Appetit!
