Overflowing with local produce, it’s a food-lover’s paradise where you’ll find everything from cold-pressed juice to market-made dinners, decadent cheeses and the freshest veggies. 2 - Busselton Jetty - "The 158-year-old heritage listed Busselton Jetty is a much-loved iconic Western Australian attraction, not only is it the longest Jetty in the southern hemisphere, it is also home to one of only six Underwater Observatories in the world! In 2018 it was recognised as the State's best tourist attraction winning the Major Tourist Attraction Award at the WA Tourism Awards. The Jetty features an iconic Interpretive Centre, interactive Museum, souvenir/gift shop and Jetty Train which travels 1.8km out to sea. Visitors also enjoy the free recreational activities on offer such as, fishing, swimming, snorkelling and diving. 3 - Boranup Karri Forest - The forest is an easy 25-minute drive south of Margaret River town along Caves Road. The Karri Lookout on the eastern side of Caves Road is an ideal spot to enjoy and photograph this amazing forest as it undulates across the valley. 4 - Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - The historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse sits at the tip of a spectacular peninsula, where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. Situated at the most south-westerly point of Australia, on one of the world's great capes, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia. 5 - Margaret River Chocolate Company - At The Margaret River Chocolate Company we're mad about chocolate! With factories in both the Margaret River and Swan Valley wine regions of Western Australia and a concept store in Perth City, we have been making award-winning chocolate products since 1999. All three sites provide a fascinating insight into the world of chocolate, with free chocolate tastings and interactive displays, with the two factories also providing viewing windows to watch the chocolate products being made. The Margaret River Chocolate Company makes and sells a mouth-watering range of chocolate bars, chocolate coated delights, hand made truffles, novelty chocolates, chocolate sauces and much more 6 - Canal Rock Bridge - The beautiful granite outcrop that makes up Canal Rocks is part of the rugged Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park known for its excellent fishing and scenic bushwalking. A series of rocks jut into the ocean creating a natural canal hollowed out by the force of the sea. For the best and safest view, there's a bridge built across the smallest canal. The area is popular for fishing with salmon catches a big attraction around Easter time. There are some great bush walks in the area - the famous Cape to Cape walk passes by Canal Rocks with a route mapped from the car park to Wyadup. 7 - Ngilgi Caves - Set above-ground at Ngilgi Cave, Ancient Lands Experience takes visitors on a journey to discover the formation of the region in ancient times. An accessible scenic pathway through the native bushland connects a series of interactive installations, each bringing to life the creation of the land, cave formations, the 60,000 year custodianship of the Wadandi people and the native flora and fauna found in the area. 8 - Sugarloaf Rock - Sugarloaf Rock is a gigantic granite rock that emerges from the Indian Ocean extremely close to the mainland. The rock is situated within a designated nature reserve in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park just off Cape Naturaliste near Dunsborough. As you approach Sugarloaf Rock you will instantly see why this towering, sea-sculptured rock is one of the most photographed coastal landforms in the region. 9 - Simmos Ice Cream - There is no secret to the great tasting ice cream at Simmo's.
