Dr. Jim Stockand, a dedicated educator with a PhD in Physiology, has devoted the past 24 years to inspiring students in the academic realm. However, in 2022, his life took an unforeseen turn when he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Following standard of care treatment, Dr. Stockand encountered a setback when the glioblastoma recurred merely 9 months later. In January 2023, he decided to participate in the ReSPECT-GBM trial for recurrent glioblastoma.
