Army’s 44 RR Holds Mega Free Medical Camp in Chitragam Kalan, Serves Residents Across Zainapora Shahid Manzoor Shopian, March 06: In a humanitarian outreach initiative, the Indian Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) organized a large-scale free medical camp at Chitragam Kalan in Shopian, extending healthcare services to residents from several villages across the Zainapora Sub-Division, including Chitragam Kalan, Bandpahoo, and Dachoo. The medical camp witnessed participation from a team of experienced doctors from Zainapora Sub-Division, including specialists in gynecology, pediatrics, ENT, and general medicine. Doctors from Army also joined the initiative, offering medical consultations and healthcare support told the local population. During the camp, hundreds of patients were provided free medical check-ups, medicines, and diagnostic tests, including CBC, hemoglobin, and lipid profile screenings. Special medical attention was extended to cancer patients, who received dedicated consultations and guidance regarding their treatment and care. A significant number of elderly residents attended the camp and benefitted from the healthcare services, expressing relief at having access to specialist doctors and essential medical tests close to their homes. Locals expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army, particularly Major Imamsahib, for organizing the camp and bringing much-needed medical assistance to the area. Residents appreciated the Army’s continued commitment to the welfare and well-being of the local community. Adding to the spirit of togetherness, an Iftar gathering was also organized on the occasion, where residents and Army personnel came together, reflecting unity and goodwill during the holy month of Ramadan. People from the region emphasized that such initiatives should be organized regularly, noting that they not only provide essential healthcare services but also help strengthen trust and the bond between the Army and the local community across Zainapora Sub-Division.
