Also, the dog in this story was a shelter rescue dog and her name was Schotzie, which is German for "Sweetheart" or "Treasure". She suffered from dental problems as she got older and I always felt sorry for her because she must have been in pain. I was just a kid then, but if I could go back in time, I'd do more to look after the dental health. Today I have another cool dog named Teddy, and I definitely look after him.
