Cracking the outer layer of paint, revealed something more sinister... The "Hell icons" were a legend in Tsarist Russia in which, an image of a devil was painted underneath the image of a saint depicted in an icon. Mass panic spread as people began to hunt down these wicked icons. But were they real?
