Can you beat a Final Fantasy X Hardcore Nuslocke?! Welcome to a NEW Ultimate FFX Challenge! Join me on this epic journey through Spira as I embark on a HARDCORE NUZLOCKE run of Final Fantasy 10! Attempt #17 (2): Bikanel, Home & Happy Festival Fireworks! Join the community, like, subscribe, & hit the bell to stay updated. Let’s see if we can conquer one of the toughest challenges in the history of Final Fantasy X! An FFX Nuzlocke Challenge intends to create a higher difficulty level while playing FFX. FFX Nuzlocke Basic Rules 1. Once a Character or Aeon faints it cannot be used for the remainder of the run. 2. Only the first unique enemy(s) on a new route can be stolen from. Obtaining a Ronso Rage from your first encounter can be done in place of your Steal. 3. You must nickname every Character and Aeon. FFX Nuzlocke Hardcore Rules 1. You cannot use the ‘item’ command in battle. The ‘Use’ ability is allowed. 2. You cannot use an Al Bhed Compilation Sphere, collect Al Bhed Primers, fight Belgemine, gain extra Aeons or play mini-games (Blitzball, Butterfly Hunting, Lightning Dodging, Remium Temple Chocobo Racing). This does not apply to; Airship Passwords & Secret Locations, Cactuar Stones & Cactuar Village, Chocobo Training, Jecht Spheres, the Omega Ruins & the Monster Arena. 3. You cannot level up. No Sphere Grid rules apply. FFX Nuzlocke Special Rules 1. If you can't complete a forced battle as all required characters are dead, the run ends. 2. The game is only finished when you beat the final storyline boss, Yu Yevon. 3. Once you game over, or if any rules / clauses are broken, the run is over. FFX Nuzlocke Clauses 1. Dupes Clause – Weapon Abilities: Your front 3 can't have the same equipment ability at the same time. Example: two characters can't have 'Darkproof', but 1 can have 'Darkproof' and the 2nd can have 'Dark Ward'. If a backrow character swaps in with a duplicate ability(s), they must change to a different ability(s) on their initial turn(s). 2. Species Clause – Unique First Encounter: You can only steal from (or obtain a Ronso Rage from) the first unique enemy(s) you encounter on each route, and cannot steal from that enemy again. Example: If you encounter Sand Wolf in ‘Oasis’ (Bikanel Island), you can’t steal from Sand Wolf in the ‘Sanubia Desert East’. Non-Eligible Encounters: A) If the first encounter in a new route includes enemies that have already been stolen from, you can't steal from them again. However, any other enemies in that encounter, which haven't been stolen from yet, are eligible and will count towards your first unique steal. B) If no party member has the ‘Steal’ ability, that first encounter is not eligible at such time. For example: Besaid Island before Rikku. C) Forced encounters. 3. Summons Clause – Bosses Only: Aeons can only be summoned during boss battles, once per fight. Enemies that display ‘Boss’ on the CTB, and forced aeon battles (such as vs. Issaru) are classed as a ‘Boss’. FFX Nuzlocke Save States 1. Mi'ihen Highroad Save Sphere (after laughing scene) 2. Macalania Woods - South Save Sphere (first arrival after Thunder Plains / Auton & Tidus scene) 3. Bikanel - Oasis Save Sphere (first arrival after Wendigo boss fight) 4. Airship Save Sphere (after Home scenes) 5. Via Purifico #2 Save Sphere (after defeating Issaru) 6. Mt. Gagazet Save Sphere (before Ronso Brothers fight) 7. Zanarkand Dome Save Sphere (before Spectral Keeper) 8. Airship Save Sphere (after Yunalesca) 9. Inside Sin Save Sphere (after Overdrive Sin) 10. Tower of the Dead Save Sphere (before The Nucleus / BFA Battle) For reference... What is a Nuzlocke?
