Y’all I almost didn’t make it 😅 Honestly, I’ve never been very good at one breath challenges… Yet, I NEVER struggle with running out of breath while singing a song. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Here’s the thing, your lung capacity has very little to do with whether or not you will run out of breath while singing… It’s more about breath control - how much air you are releasing as you’re singing! But one breath challenges are so insanely long that lung capacity does come into play. So why do one breath challenges at all…? Well, first of all they’re fun haha! And secondly they can still help you regulate how much breath you’re releasing (and they help increase lung capacity too). So should you do one breath challenges? If they are fun for you, yes absolutely! But if you don’t like doing them, don’t bother. There are plenty other kinds of exercises you can do to work on your breathing 😇 But if you do like them, work on this one - it’s quite challenging!
