This is a re-upload of the animation released on 19 October 2024 as I forgot to enable Pakulonan Timur station, too important of an error to just leave it like that. Thanks to @Nico-dt5hu for pointing out this error! === Over one year has passed already, so I'm currently doing a new animation of the MRT Jakarta network, both the existing lines, lines under construction and expected future lines that are announced or most likely to be announced. Recent rumors of an extension from Lebak Bulus through Tangerang is not included yet, as those are the words of a mayoral candidate. So what has been updated? First of all, a number of currently active MRT stations have sold their naming rights, these are now reflected in the animation. I’ve also updated the expected time of opening of the NS line extension and the EW line within the borders of Jakarta province. It is expected that the first section opens in 2031 now. The northern end of the NS line extension will be on another artificial island, so that’s updated as well and I have split the EW line’s Jakarta part into two sections, reflecting the most recent information from MRT Jakarta themselves.
