Not only that, Jamaica was the first Caribbean island to establish a post office, and it might have been the first in the entire Western Hemisphere! Jamaica boasts an impressive network managed by the Post and Telecommunications Department, also known as Jamaica Post. They oversee more than 400 postal points, including 164 Postal Agencies and 237 Post Offices. The central office is located at 6-10 South Camp Road in Kingston.
