This film was created during a simple moment, lying on a sofa, with the desire to explore distant cultures in a gentle and meaningful way. Instead of rushing or explaining, this project lets music, motion, and visual texture do the talking. Over the course of seven days, Saffron and Smoke slowly took shape as a celebration inspired by Moroccan and North African street life, flea markets, and spice markets, reimagined through surreal AI art. The costumes you see are not traditional Moroccan or North African garments. They are original designs inspired by Moroccan colors, textures, and layered craftsmanship, reimagined through a surreal artistic lens. I designed over 600 unique outfits, carefully selecting around 200 final looks to appear in this film. Each costume was created to feel lived-in, expressive, and full of character, like stories walking through a market street. The dance you see is SoukStep, an energetic, grounded style inspired by everyday movement, foot stomps, hand rhythms, and the natural pulse of people working, selling, and living in open markets. It is not about performance, but about presence, rhythm, and shared motion. Music plays a central role in this film. I wrote six original songs, composing all lyrics myself to fit the movement, mood, and visual flow of the film. The music was then produced using AI tools as an instrument, carefully choosing each track so it feels like a different spice in the same dish. Each song has its own character, yet all belong to the same atmosphere.
