This is a full review, so if you would like to skip the unboxing and setup of the airplane and get to the flight test, please advance the video 15 minutes. I consider 2-channel airplanes toys, not hobby-grade models, but it does not mean they cannot be great fun to fly. In the past, I have only owned and flown 2-channel airplanes that were very slow and small models, much more appropriate for indoor flying. There are no control surfaces (i.e. elevator, rudder and ailerons) on these 2-channel airplanes, and they control the up-down and right-left directional changes via differentially modulating the thrust from two propellers, on on each wing. Hence, the directional changes are slow and delayed, and these models usually do not do well in windy conditions. I purchased this airplane on eBay for a total of $34.99 shipped to our door. After watching some review videos on YouTube about 2-channel "fighter jets", I wanted to see for myself how well these actually fly. My expectations were not high, but I thought my sons and I still could have some fun with it in our local park. I was pleasantly surprised how well this small model flew, especially in calm weather. If you modulate the throttle correctly to counteract the porpoising tendency of the plane, you can make it fly straight-and-level and look good in the air. Also, it is a very slow, gentle flyer, especially considering its "jet fighter" style. And it looks gorgeous in the air with its yellow-and-black color scheme and is very easy to see. So the final verdict: It is a toy, but a very fun one. With that said, it can be used for another purpose as well, to help RC pilots to get better in throttle management and in becoming smoother operators. If you are planning to buy it just to play around in the park and have jolly good time, you cannot go wrong with spending $35 on this. However, if your expectations are more towards trying out the RC hobby, I would suggest spending a bit more and getting one of these RC parkflyers, which will provide you with a much more sophisticated and proper experience in getting your feet wet in this hobby: • So easy a caveman can fly it! Volantex RC ... • Battle of Ultra Micros – WLtoys Cessna 182... I hope this helps you with your purchase decision. Thank you very much for watching. If you liked this video, please give it a thumbs-up. I hope you are part of this amazing hobby, or at least considering to join, because it is so much fun and rewarding. Stay safe and healthy! Cheers!
