Crank it up. Blues guitar playing rarely gets much better than this. One of the best examples I've seen of man and guitar becoming 'one'. Voted in '95 by Guitar Player magazine as the 4th 'Best Blues Guitarist' behind legends like Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and BB King puts Chris Duarte nearly at the top of any heap you can pile up, and it shows here with this super dynamic soft-to-hard blues bomb entitled "Bottle Blues". Performed at Nick's in Marietta Dec 12, 2012 with John McNight on drums and Dustin Sargent on bass(who I think isn't in a single frame on this one). It was 12/12/12, the night of the anticipated "End of the World" in some people's minds and I purposely came to Nick's to gather footage and be in a decent enough atmosphere in case it actually went down(like that would matter?) and shoot whatever John McNight(drummer) and friends had going on that night, but never expected to see my world on fire like this. The audio was originally recorded separately but was accidentally erased later in preparation for another shoot, so what you hear came straight off my handheld cam, which I often get too close with for usable tracks, so this was tweaked on a Mac in the Garage Band app as best as I figured I could get it without getting anal about it. I also changed the video from color to B&W due to the bland lighting and posters on the wall being too much of a distraction visually, and wanted to keep the focus more on Chris' fine work.
