I am not going to discuss this, important is if any patients who as bleeding motion more than 4 weeks should visit your Gastroenterologist for colonoscopy because blood in stool it can be due to Ulcerative Colitis, Ulcer in the Rectum, Cancer in the elderly Patients. So, all blood in motions are not Piles and Fissure. The treatment for Piles and Fissure are usually Medical Management and if the bleeding is more then Surgical Management but the other causes like Ulcerative Colitis needs a Colonoscopy Evolution and Biopsy to prove that it is Ulcerative Colitis and then the treatment has to be started which usually last Lifetime.
